Dr. Richard Shin graduated with honors from New York Univerity School of Dentistry in 1999. He fulfilled his residency requirements in 2000 at Kings County Hospital and Down State Medical Center, both located in Brooklyn, New York. He became board certified in periodontology in 2003 after completing his specialty program at NYU, where he is currently a member of the dental school faculty. Dr. Shin was recognized for his clinical excellence by the Department of Periodontology with the "Best Clinician Award" in 2003. Dr. Shin published several articles in journals including: Journal publication in American Academy of Periodontology; "Papillon-Lefevre Syndrome: Successful Outcome in 2005.".
